Oboro sees the dead Okoi and realizes that Akeginu also lied her and that she killed Jōsuke Udono before she then goes looking for Gennosuke.

Nenki Mino doesn't realizes why Tenzen hesitates and after Gyōbu tells them to move out of their way or they are too afraid, Nenki orders them to attack, but Tenzen stops them. The rest can't understand why Tenzen stops them and after getting provoked by Saemon and Gyōbu, Nenki orders them again to attack. Five Iga ninjas then charge at Gennosuke, but he uses his dōjutsu eye technique and makes them kill each other. Oboro arrives to witness it, but can't say anything. Gennosuke then pass through the Iga ninjas with them too afraid to make a move. He passes by Oboro without saying anything or looking at her. Tenzen realizes that Koshirō Chikuma's technique can defeat Gennosuke and tells him to go. Koshirō stops Gennosuke and announces he will kill him. He then throws his scythes, but Saemon and Gyōbu easily deflect them. Koshirō then starts charging his Whirlwind Kamaitachi, but Oboro goes to him asking him not to kill Gennosuke and he stops. Tenzen tells Oboro that she needs to look at Gennosuke's eyes and stop his technique. Koshirō once again starts to charge his Kamaitachi, but Oboro again asks him to stop and as he open his eyes, he meets Gennosuke's eyes and his technique backfire, causing it to hit him and destroys his eyes in the process. Gennosuke then leaves, ignoring Oboro's calls.

In the morning, Akeginu informs Tenzen and the rest that Koshirō will live, but had lost his eyesight. Tenzen tells Oboro that her actions were inexcusable and if she wasn't the successor of her grandmother, she would have been executed. Oboro apologizes, but Tenzen tells her to apologize to her grandmother and the 400 year old spirits of Iga ancestors. Three of their ten are dead and Koshirō is unable to fight. Tenzen asks Oboro to promise that she will kill Gennosuke by her own hands, but she tells him she can't kill him and that she don't understand why they bear such hatred towards the Kōga. Tenzen says that he can't blame her as she doesn't know anything, including Kōga's actions during Oda's attack. The rest explain that Ogen forbid them to discuss the situation with Oboro. They explain that Kōga chased and killed the fleeting Iga, although they say they were framed, but since then even deeper grudge existed between the clans. Tenzen tells Oboro that back then Ogen was almost killed by Danjō Kōga and now she was killed by him. As Tenzen continue to persuade her to take action, Oboro asks for some time to think.

Gennosuke returns to Kōga and everyone wonder where Okoi and Jōsuke Udono are. Meanwhile, Oboro returns to Tenzen and he asks her if she made a decision before they notice she holds a jar and wonder whats inside of it. Tenzen then realizes what's going on and sees that she had done something to her eyes; she had sealed them shut.
