Namenba (滑婆) is one of the main characters of Basilisk ~Ōka Ninpō Chō~. She is the ninjutsu teacher for the Iga and Kouga youth and the wife of Gorone Negoro.

Namenba is a skilled ninja herself and demonstrates a particular affinity with infiltration and flight. Her method of flight relies on her long clothes, which in the past has caused her to be confused for a tennin flying overhead in a hagoromo.
Etymology[]
- The name Namenba means "slippery, slide/sliding, slip, flunk" (滑) (namen) and "hag, old woman, grandma, wet nurse" (婆) (ba).
