That night, Tenzen had Kagerō tied to a pole and shoots needles at her stomach, writing "Iga". Tenzen tells Kagerō that she isn't Oboro, but if he had time, he would love to take her on again, even if it means he will be dead for few more days. He then reveals the needles are poisoned and she will be dead by tomorrow. Unable to stand Kagerō's cries, Oboro goes to Tenzen and asks him to stop or show mercy and kill her fast. Tenzen tells her he admires her for her plan on baiting Gennosuke, and that even Ofuku was impressed. Tenzen refuses to show pity or mercy, as they had no meaning for him.
