Summary[]

The man tells Saemon Kisaragi, who is disguised as Tenzen Yakushiji, that he was told Tenzen is immortal and he can only be killed by being burned or beheaded. Saemon connects the immortality information with some other things Iga ninja had said, but tells the man that a Iga ninja would not reveal technique of another ninja to an outsider. The man tells Saemon that he would love to see the technique of one closing his wound before he then attacks and pierce Saemon with a hidden blade with the help of another man. Saemon strikes the man, realizing he was Tenzen and the rest of the men all stab Saemon. Tenzen then reveals that there used to be an Iga ninja with the same technique as Saemon and he used it to deceive all the Kōga by transforming into the retired Kōga leader during Nobunaga Oda's attack.

Kagerō returns to Gennosuke Kōga and strikes out Akeginu's name, but tells Gennosuke she had slain Oboro. Gennosuke had no visual reaction and asks her if she is okay. She informs him that Saemon had infiltrated Ofuku and expresses her desire to be by Gennosuke's side when this war ends, even if she can never touch him. Gennosuke wonders if that is what she really wants and she confirms and then heads out to kill the remaining Iga member.

Ofuku tells Tenzen she heard about an Iga ninja not revealing their techniques and Tenzen jokes that he messed up as he is still not being used to being an Iga as he joined them only 180 years ago. Ofuku laughs as indeed 180 years are not long for an immortal, but comments that some of her men had seen his face wound close and Tenzen explains that most of her men had never killed someone, so they must have been imagining it. He then informs Ofuku that a Kōga woman will ask for him and asks Ofuku her retainers to allow her to pass and Ofuku agrees.

Kagerō makes contact and is put in a room. Tenzen comes and tells her that are being watched as Ofuku doesn't trust her, stating that Kōga would switch sides that easily. He tells her that if he says he took her chastity, Ofuku will state that he had fallen into Kagerō's trap. Tenzen then gets on Kagerō and starts stripping her, explaining that he needs to violate her again like they claimed he had done before. Kagerō mentions her breath, but Tenzen thinks she means she is out of breath and tells her its fine if she yells or cry. That makes Kagerō realize this isn't Saemon, but Tenzen himself. She realizes that Saemon must had been killed and allows Tenzen to proceed, imagining herself being with Gennosuke and releasing a poison breath that kills Tenzen. She then breaks his neck to confirm his kill and Ofuku's retainers charge the room, stabbing her in the leg and capturing her. Hearing something goes on Ofuku and Oboro head towards the room, where the retainers tell Ofuku that the Kōga girl had killed Tenzen. Seeing Oboro, Kagerō tells her she has no shame for enlisting outsiders to help her in the war and mocks her for sealing her eyes. Kagerō tells Oboro that she told Gennosuke she killed her and Oboro guesses he told her "well done", which only annoys Kagerō even more as she was correct. Ofuku orders Oboro to kill Kagerō, but Oboro refuses, explaining they can use her as bait for Gennosuke to appear.

On a boat, Gennosuke hears a crying boy with a flute. He offers him a napkin, but the boy refuses and asks him if he can play the flute. As they introduce to each other, Gennosuke takes the flute and starts playing on it. Meanwhile, Ofuku's group continues their journey and Oboro talks to herself, wishing to see Gennosuke one more time and then he can take her life.
